It is the right of every employee to pursue their interests by means of representatives operating within the employing entity. We have selected the form of a labour organization, given that it possesses the most potent status amongst all representative bodies within our legislative framework.

Although it may appear that labour unions are a relic of the past, the fact is that their prevalence is currently on the rise. Labour organizations are active with employers throughout the entire labour market, encompassing not only Western nations but also the Slovak Republic.

IT and Telco companies are likely among the last places where trade unions, including ours, are being established. This is mainly because working conditions here are often significantly better than, for instance, in the manufacturing sector (car manufacturers, steelworks, etc.). However, this does not mean they lack a purpose in such firms.

Whether it is to improve the working environment, employment terms, benefits, or even to oversee adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, unions serve as a unified voice on the employer’s premises during negotiations with the company management.
